Principal's Message

Welcome from the Principal

My name is Dr. Megan Bailey, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Principal of Fremont Elementary—home of the Pathfinders. I am incredibly excited to join this wonderful school community and look forward to working alongside our dedicated teachers, staff, families, and—most importantly—our students.

Before moving into administration, I had the privilege of teaching every elementary grade except 2nd. I’ve also served as an Instructional Coach, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal in both Louisiana and Colorado. Most recently, I spent the past five years as an Assistant Principal in District 8, where I focused on instructional leadership, student support, and special education. I hold a doctorate in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment and bring a strong background in instructional leadership, technology, and student-centered learning.

A little about me personally: I grew up in Colorado Springs and am thrilled to now serve the community that helped shape me. My husband, a Louisiana native, is a retired U.S. Army veteran, and we have two children—our son is in middle school, and our daughter will be starting 4th grade. As a family, we love animals, enjoy Colorado’s great outdoors in our Jeep, and spend our summers traveling for baseball tournaments.

At Fremont Elementary, I believe in creating a student-centered learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential. My priorities include supporting our incredible teachers, building strong family partnerships, and fostering a positive, engaging school culture that promotes both academic growth and student well-being.

We know that strong school-home connections are essential to student success. As a school community, we are committed to ensuring families feel welcomed, informed, and empowered to engage in their child’s learning. I encourage you to connect, participate, and explore the possibilities with us this year.
