About Fremont Elementary

Fremont Elementary is a neighborhood school centrally located in Colorado Springs. Our mission, vision, and core values are aligned to District 11 and drive instructional practices throughout the building.

Fremont, a Title 1 school, serves about 360 students, pre-K through 5th grade. We are proud to meet the needs of all students through targeted interventions, English Language learner services, and special education services.

Our well-trained, dedicated staff works collaboratively to bring out the best in every student. We use Capturing Kids Hearts processes and student voice to create a safe, welcoming environment. Our Random Acts of Kindness lessons address the social and emotional learning standards. We have 2 full-time mental health providers to support the needs of students and staff.

Parent involvement is highly valued at Fremont. All parents and guardians are invited to attend our monthly School Accountability Committee (SAC) meetings to offer input to improve Fremont. Our strong Parent Teacher Association (PTA) supports students and staff by sponsoring or helping with family and school events. We encourage participation at our many family events hosted throughout the year.
